It’s Finally Done!

Hey, y’all!

I did it! I finally did it!

I finally was able to create index pages for each of the Barefoot Contessa cookbooks! All 12 pages can now be viewed and I was even able to update them to where I am at with cooking through the recipes.

Click here to see what I’m talking about. I’m so happy that I was finally able to do this. It actually didn’t take me as long as I thought it would.

Anyway….

I finished the cutting prep for tonight’s soup! I’m glad I save the time now, so I’m not freaking out later. I can’t want to share recipe with you all next week. Now, I can start baking cookies. I can almost smell them already.

I store my chopped vegetables in a bag for simple storage and easy clean up when it comes time to make the soup. These ingredients will all go into the soup at the same time, so one bag is all I needed. Otherwise, I would divide the ingredients by when they are added to the pot.

Site Update Annoucement

Hello Faithful Readers!

If you’re like me, you can’t wait for 2020 to come to an end.

While I know that once the calendar flips to January 1st, 2021 things won’t magically change, but I think the start of a new year will give people hope as we start seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.

Much like the calendar will be turning a new page to a new year, I have decided to take this blog to the next level in 2021.

What does this mean?

While I am and always will be an Ina Garten fan, I have found the focus of only making and reviewing her recipes a little too restrictive for my tastes. So, I’ve decided to branch out the blog to focus other chefs and cookbooks authors. I feel that overall this will give me more freedom and better training-through-cookbooks than only sticking with Ina’s recipes.

This is not to say I will never make another Ina recipe.

However, the freedom this provides me may prove more interesting and inspiring…also a little less fattening and more cost-effective.

What does this mean for the Blog?

Since I will no longer solely be focused on recipes written by Ina Garten, I have decided to change to a new domain that better reflects the brand I am trying to create and the overall goal of this blog.

Thus, beginning on January 1st, 2021 the Blog will become Ryan’s Kitchen Journal and live at a new domain ryanskitchenjournal.com.

Don’t worry! The current URL will “point” to the new one until August, when the old domain expires.

I am working on some great things over the next few weeks to help improve the site and make it better overall. This may even include a new site design but we shall see!

I hope you continue to follow me on this journey. As always, thanks for reading!

It’s Here!

I’m so excited!! Ina’s new cookbook arrived today and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into and start looking over the recipes. I have only skimmed it so far, but I can already tell that I think this one will become my new favorite — my previous one was Barefoot in Paris. The photographs are so amazing and Ina looks great!

Look for my extended, full review in a few weeks as part of the cookbook review series that drops every Thursday. Tomorrow, I’m reviewing Barefoot Contessa Parties!

Sorry this is so quick, but I’m too excited to write much. I wanna check out the new book.

Be back soon!
