I can’t believe it’s been almost two weeks since my last blog post. I guess I did mean it when I said I won’t be blogging as much over the next two months due to the rehearsal schedule for the show I’m working on.
But I had today off from work, so I did some things around the house and had some time for a quick blog post!
And I have big news!
I finally finished one of the crochet projects that I’ve been working on the last few months. It’s a huge blanket that took many, many hours. This project was a little bit more complex that the stuff I had been working on recently.
It also kept getting larger and larger with each round since this blanket is designed that way. That means that the current round takes you longer to finish than the one before it. It isn’t by a lot of stitches each round–usually just 4 more per round–but it really adds up!
Here are some pictures of the completed blanket. The full blanket can be seen in the cover photo of this post.
I hope the people who will be receiving it get many years of use out of it.
I found the blanket pattern on The Crochet Crowd’s website. You can see it for yourself right here. I stitched it using Caron One Pound Yarn. I chose these colors for a couple of reasons: 1) the colors that the designers used were HIDEOUS in my opinion and 2) I think this beach color scheme is really personal to the people that I made it for.
